Please read these terms carefully before booking your wellness retreat at The Pearl Laguna in Laguna Beach, California. By making a reservation, you agree to the terms set out below.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern all reservations, stays and services provided by The Pearl Laguna ("The Pearl Laguna", "we", "us", "our") at 21095 Raquel Rd, Laguna Beach, California 92651.
By submitting a reservation request, paying a deposit, or attending a retreat, you ("guest", "you") confirm that you have read, understood and accepted these Terms on behalf of yourself and any additional guests included in your booking.
The Pearl Laguna welcomes adult guests 18 years and older. Retreats host approximately 8–12 guests per week, and availability is limited.
A reservation is confirmed only when we have received your deposit and issued a written booking confirmation. Until then, dates, rooms and program lengths remain subject to availability.
You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information at the time of booking, including full legal names, contact details, arrival and departure plans, dietary requirements, and any health information relevant to your participation.
If you book on behalf of another guest or a group, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for every person included in the reservation, and that you are responsible for payment of the full booking.
Deposits. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and is non-refundable.
Final Balance. The remaining balance is due 40 days prior to check-in and will be charged to the credit card on file.
Last Minute Bookings. For reservations made within 7 days of arrival, the full amount is due immediately at the time of booking.
All rates are quoted in US dollars. Prices are confirmed at the time of booking and are not subject to change once your reservation is confirmed, except where you request a change to your program, room or dates.
If the final balance is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the reservation as cancelled by the guest, in which case the cancellation terms in Section 4 apply.
Optional services requested during your stay — including personal training, Pilates, facials, acupuncture, Reiki, art therapy and similar add-ons — are charged separately and are payable before departure.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to booking@thepearllaguna.com. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice.
Cancellations made 40 days or more prior to the retreat start date are eligible for a credit toward a future retreat, valid for 9 months from the original reservation date, minus the non-refundable deposit.
Cancellations made less than 40 days prior to check-in, as well as no-shows, are strictly non-refundable and are not eligible for credit.
No refund or credit is provided for early departure, late arrival, or for any meals, treatments, sessions or activities that are included in your program but not used. Participation in scheduled activities is flexible and does not change your retreat pricing.
Requests to change retreat dates are treated as a cancellation and rebooking, and are subject to the terms in Section 4 as well as availability on the requested dates.
Retreat credits are issued in the name of the original guest and are not transferable to another person or redeemable for cash, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Where a credit is applied to a future retreat priced higher than the original booking, the difference is payable by the guest.
We reserve the right to modify the retreat program, schedule, staff, accommodations or activities where necessary for guest safety, weather, staffing, property maintenance or other operational reasons. Such adjustments do not entitle guests to a refund.
In the unlikely event that we must cancel a retreat entirely, you will be offered either a full credit toward a future retreat or a refund of amounts paid for that retreat.
We are not responsible for travel costs, flights, accommodation or other expenses incurred by guests in connection with a cancelled or modified retreat, including where cancellation results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as natural disaster, fire, wildfire evacuation, severe weather, utility failure, public health orders, government restrictions or other force majeure events.
Because travel plans can change unexpectedly, we strongly recommend that every guest purchase travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses and baggage at the time of booking.
Guests have previously arranged coverage through Travel Guard (1-833-658-4992) and Roamright (1-800-699-3845). The Pearl Laguna is not affiliated with these providers, does not sell insurance, and makes no recommendation as to the suitability of any particular policy.
The Pearl Laguna is a wellness retreat. We offer yoga and movement, guided hikes, plant-based cuisine and nutritional guidance, restorative bodywork, banya and sauna, sound sessions, art sessions and related wellness experiences. We do not provide medical, psychiatric, psychological or therapeutic treatment, and nothing offered during your stay is a substitute for professional medical care.
Information shared by our team or on our website is offered for general educational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always seek the guidance of your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions regarding a medical condition or before beginning any new exercise, dietary or wellness program.
By booking, you confirm that you are in sufficient physical and mental health to participate in the activities you choose, and that you have consulted your own physician where appropriate.
You agree to disclose, before arrival, any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, dietary restrictions, medications, mobility limitations or mental health considerations that may affect your participation or the care we provide. We treat this information confidentially and use it solely to support your stay. We reserve the right to decline or end a booking where we determine, in good faith, that we cannot safely accommodate a guest's needs.
Guests remain responsible for managing their own medications and medical care during their stay. In the event of a medical emergency, we will contact emergency services; any resulting costs are the guest's responsibility.
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM on Sunday. For 4-day and 5-day programs, check-out is after lunch on the final day of your booked stay. For the full 7-day retreat, check-out is at 11:00 AM on Saturday.
Early check-in is not available, as we operate back-to-back retreat programs and require time to prepare the property between groups. If your flight arrives early, we recommend arranging a local Laguna Beach hotel before arriving at 3:00 PM.
Late arrivals and early departures do not entitle guests to a refund or credit for the unused portion of the program.
Airport pick-up and drop-off services are generally not provided for standard individual bookings.
Complimentary transportation between John Wayne Airport (SNA) and The Pearl Laguna may be available on select retreats, or for private Group bookings of five (5) or more guests traveling together. Where offered, scheduled transfers occur on Sunday between approximately 2:15–2:30 PM (pick-up) and Saturday at approximately 11:00 AM (drop-off), and must be confirmed with us in advance.
Guests arriving at LAX, Long Beach (LGB), or outside of pre-approved group transfer windows are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation. Where we recommend a third-party car service, that service operates independently, and The Pearl Laguna is not responsible for its performance.
Complimentary on-site parking is available with advance notice for guests who plan to drive.
Our menu is plant-based, vegetarian-focused, sugar-free and organic, prepared fresh in-house without refined sugar, seed oils, alcohol or caffeine. Eggs are available on request.
Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, sugar-free and other common dietary needs and allergies can be accommodated when communicated in writing before arrival.
While we take allergies seriously and prepare meals with care, our kitchen is not an allergen-free facility and we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contact. Guests with severe allergies should carry their own emergency medication.
The Pearl Laguna is a caffeine-free and alcohol-free retreat, designed to support rest, recovery and mental clarity. Alcohol, recreational drugs and smoking or vaping are not permitted anywhere on the property.
Because of our small group size and shared spaces, we ask guests to respect the privacy and experience of others — keeping device use discreet and largely within your own room, observing quiet hours, and arriving on time for scheduled sessions.
Guests are asked to follow the reasonable instructions of our team, particularly during hikes, banya, sauna, cold plunge and other activities where safety guidance applies.
We reserve the right to end a guest's stay, without refund or credit, in cases of conduct that endangers, harasses or materially disrupts other guests, our team or the property.
Visitors who are not registered guests are not permitted on the property without our prior written approval.
Participation in retreat activities — including yoga and movement classes, strength training, guided canyon and coastal hikes, massage and bodywork, banya, infrared sauna, cold plunge, jacuzzi and pool use — involves inherent risks, including the risk of physical injury.
You participate voluntarily and at your own risk, and you are responsible for choosing the activities and level of intensity appropriate to your own condition. Participation is never mandatory, and you may rest at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, The Pearl Laguna, its owners, employees, instructors and independent contractors are not liable for injury, illness, loss or damage arising from participation in retreat activities, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Guests may be asked to sign a separate activity waiver and health questionnaire on or before arrival.
Guests are responsible for their own belongings throughout their stay. The Pearl Laguna is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property on the premises or during transportation.
Guests are responsible for the cost of repair or replacement where property damage results from their negligence or intentional acts, and we may charge the card on file for such amounts.
Items left behind will be held for 30 days; return shipping is at the guest's expense.
We occasionally photograph or film the property and retreat activities for marketing purposes. Where a guest may be identifiable, we will ask for consent in advance, and you may decline at any time without affecting your stay.
Guests may take personal photographs for private use but are asked not to photograph or record other guests or staff without their permission, and not to publish images in which other guests are identifiable.
Personal information collected in connection with your booking and stay is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
All content on this website and all program materials provided during your stay — including text, photography, video, program structure, menus and guides — are the property of The Pearl Laguna and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. They may not be reproduced, distributed or used commercially without our prior written permission.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your stay shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your booking governs your reservation. The current version, with its effective date, is always published on this page.
